Why This Book Exists
Most breakups get to end. When you share a child, the connection may not.
The relationship may be over, but the messages, broken promises, responsibilities, memories, and triggers can keep showing up. One interaction can bring back feelings you thought you had already put down.
The co-parent is the catalyst. Motherhood is the context. Identity is the transformation.
This Book Is for You If…
- One message from him can change your mood and take over your whole day.
- You keep returning, reacting, hoping, or reopening a door you meant to close.
- You are tired of explaining yourself and waiting for one more conversation to change the pattern.
- You no longer trust your own choices because you have gone back and forth so many times.
- You want to co-parent without giving him access to your emotions or personal life.
- You want to face your choices without carrying the blame for what someone else did.
- You are ready to put your energy into your child, your body, your purpose, your peace, and the life you are building.
What This Book Will Help You Do
- Understand what may be hiding under your rage.
- Recognize the loop while you are still inside it.
- Look at repeated behavior instead of holding on to potential.
- Pause before one trigger takes over your whole day.
- Separate co-parenting from emotional, romantic, or physical access.
- Set boundaries without needing anger to hold them in place.
- Face your choices without using shame to punish yourself.
- Protect your child from being placed inside adult pain.
- Direct your energy toward the life you want to create.
You can go through it without becoming it.

This Is Bigger Than Learning How to Deal With Him.
The goal is not controlling your child’s father. The deeper work is learning how to keep your peace even if he never finds his, separating co-parenting from emotional access, and deciding what a trigger is asking you to change in you or around you.
It may have started with him, but what you create next belongs to you.

My Story · Meet Josie
I Lived This Before I Had Words for It
Author · Educator · Mentor · Mother
I am Josie. I lived this story before I understood what it was teaching me.
While raising my daughter, I moved through the rage, the breakups, the returns, the shame, and the pressure to hold everything together. I knew how to look strong. I didn’t yet know how much of my emotional state I was handing to someone else.
I wrote this book from the scenes I once wanted to hide and the choices I had to face. I began to understand that rage was energy. I could keep using that energy to fight the same battles, or I could use it to build my body, my purpose, my relationship with my daughter, and my life.
I don’t write as someone who handled every moment correctly. I write as a woman who finally became willing to tell herself the truth and decide what she wanted that truth to create.
“I used to think I was a victim. Now I know I am a creator.”
